DCMEA is excited to share a member-exclusive opportunity! The Tri-M Music Honor Society is a national honor society for middle and high school student musicians, created by NAfME.


This year, DCMEA is offering a grant to cover the activation cost for five DC-based chapters.

 Whether you are just starting out or already an accomplished singer, Children’s Chorus of Washington has a place for you.


From entry-level training classes to advanced choral ensembles, you will develop your voice, perform on world-class stages, and grow as part of an inclusive community of young musicians.

Join the DC Youth Orchestra Program!

DC Youth Orchestra’s mission is to empower young people to transform their lives through music and community.


Beginner student registration for 2026-27 beginner program begins April 25, 2026 and closes September 10, 2026.


Intermediate and Advanced Students New to DCYOP are accepted each semester through an audition process to ensure proper placement into one of 10 ensembles. Auditions for Fall 2026 will be held in-person on August 15 and August 22nd at Takoma Elementary School.
